Connecting Other Non-Browser Devices (TV, Roku, Vonage, etc)

Please note, For the usage.connectivityu.com page to work you need to be connected to our internet services.

*First you need to find your device’s MAC Address. Instructions for some common devices are Below.

**For devices that are not listed try searching online for instructions on where to locate your MAC Address or contact the manufacturer. Then follow the instructions below under All Other Non-Browser Devices.

Vizio Television

  1. First, find the MAC address for the Wired (RJ45) or Wireless connection, depending on how you are connection. The instructions from the manual are below:
    1. To find the TV’s MAC address: From the NETWORK menu, highlight Manual Setup and press OK. The MANUAL SETUP menu is displayed.
    2. Find the MAC address for the TV at the bottom of the list. The MAC addresses for the connections in use are displayed:
      RJ45 MAC – The Ethernet or RJ45 MAC address may be needed to set up your network when you have connected the TV to your network with an Ethernet (Cat 5) cable.
      Wireless MAC – The Wireless (WiFi) MAC address may be needed to connect your TV to your network with WiFi.
  2. Go to your computer, which must be connected to the apartment’s internet connection, and open up a browser i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and go to the webpage usage.connectivityu.com Please Type This In Exactly How It’s Shown.
  3. On the webpage you will see Enter device’s MAC Address. Enter the MAC address of your Vonage there.
  4. When entering the MAC Address, you must put a colon ( : ) every 2 characters. For example: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E instead of 001A2B3C4D5E.
  5. Click Register Device.

Tivo

  1. Turn on the Tivo.
  2. From the Main Tivo Screen open the Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Phone/Network.
  5. Copy the MAC Address shown on the page.
  6. Go to your computer, which must be connected to the apartment’s internet connection, and open up a browser i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and go to the webpage usage.connectivityu.com Please Type This In Exactly How It’s Shown.
  7. On the webpage you will see Enter device’s MAC Address. Enter the MAC address of your Tivo there.
  8. When entering the MAC Address, you must put a colon ( : ) every 2 characters. For example: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E instead of 001A2B3C4D5E.
  9. Click Register Device.

Vonage

  1. Vonage V-Phone Adaptor – The MAC Address will be listed on the Outside of the adaptor’s packaging.
  2. F1000 Wi-Fi Phone Adaptor – The MAC Address will be listed Behind The Battery. You will have to remove    the battery to find the MAC Address.
  3. All Other Adaptors – The MAC Address will be listed on the Outside of the Adaptor. Usually it is located on a sticker which is on the Bottom on the Adaptor.
  4. Go to your computer, which must be connected to the apartment’s internet connection, and open up a browser i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and go to the webpage usage.connectivityu.com Please Type This In Exactly How It’s Shown.
  5. On the webpage you will see Enter device’s MAC Address. Enter the MAC address of your Vonage there.
  6. When entering the MAC Address, you must put a colon ( : ) every 2 characters. For example: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E instead of 001A2B3C4D5E.
  7. Click Register Device.

Roku

*The MAC Address should be listed on the Back of the Roku. If it is Not, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Turn on the Roku.
  2. From the Main Screen press UP to make the Menu Bar appear.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Player Info.
  5. Copy the MAC Address shown on the page.
  6. Go to your computer, which must be connected to the apartment’s internet connection, and open up a browser i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and go to the webpage usage.connectivityu.com Please Type This In Exactly How It’s Shown.
  7. On the webpage you will see Enter device’s MAC Address. Enter the MAC address of your Roku there.
  8. When entering the MAC Address, you must put a colon ( : ) every 2 characters. For example: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E instead of 001A2B3C4D5E.
  9. Click Register Device.

All Other Non-Browser Devices

  1. Have the device’s MAC Address ready.
  2. Go to your computer, which must be connected to the apartment’s internet connection, and open up a browser i.e. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and go to the webpage usage.connectivityu.com Please Type This In Exactly How It’s Shown.
  3. On the webpage you will see Enter device’s MAC Address. Enter the MAC address there.
  4. When entering the MAC Address, you must put a colon ( : ) every 2 characters. For example: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E instead of 001A2B3C4D5E.
  5. Click Register Device.
