Before we get into our recommended routers, it’s important to cover the types of routers that will not work with our network.

When purchasing a router, be sure to avoid any cable modems or modem/router combinations. These devices are meant for cable internet providers and are not compatible with our network.

Common modem/router combination brands include:

• Motorola Cable Modems
• Arris SURFboard Modems
• Netgear Nighthawk Cable Modem Routers

Each of these devices, and any others with modem in their name, will be incompatible with our service.

Ok so cable modems are out. What are the compatible routers with Connectivity U? The good news is that any other router should be compatible with our network.

We recommend avoiding models that are more than 5 years old if possible, but any standard wifi router should work in your apartment.
