Connection options

Connectivity U offers several convenient ways to connect to the internet and we support most internet-enabled devices.

Wired Connection: all locations

All Connectivity U Apartments are wired with ethernet wall ports. These ports are typically located in bedrooms, living rooms, or occasionally kitchens. From the ethernet port, most tenants choose to connect a router. Connecting a router will provide you with a secure way to connect multiple devices via wi-fi. Check our article below for instructions on connecting a router.

If you need help finding the specific location of your ethernet wall port, you can always check your address with our virtual support agent Cal.

convenience wi-fi: select locations

Some locations may feature convenience wi-fi. This means that your complex will have a shared wi-fi connection available for your devices. Convenience wi-fi is a great options for quickly connecting devices or connecting guests. We cannot guarantee the stable performance of convenience wi-fi across the whole complex, so your usage performance may vary. If you’re having issues maintaining a solid connection with convenience wi-fi, we highly recommend connecting your own wi-fi router to the ethernet wall ports in your apartment.

in-unit wi-fi: select locations

Some locations feature in-unit wi-fi in addition to the ethernet wall ports. In-unit wifi allows you to easily connect your devices to wi-fi without needing a router of your own. These connection types can vary by location but in general, there are a couple of different ways to connect:

  • Your property manager may provide you with a wi-fi password to use when connecting to the in-unit wi-fi for your apartment.
  • Your apartment may come equipped with a new version of our wi-fi access point. If so, please check out our article on the new in-unit devices.
